You'll find the Hellforge in the River of Flame beneath the City of the Damned, so look for the stairs leading down in the City, and be sure to hit the Waypoint in the area. Check your map now and then to make sure you're going in the right direction. The location of the Hellforge is randomized, but you'll always find it at the tip of a peninsula. Now that Izual is defeated, it's time to head for the second quest, where you'll have to shatter Mephisto's Soulstone from Act III on the Hellforge. Once Izual is dead, you can talk to his spirit, and you'll receive two Skill Points as a reward from Tyrael. Anything that increases your resistance to cold, or reduces freeze durations, will be helpful.Īnother thing to note is that regardless of the hirelings you currently have with you, Izual will never target them. Izual's has an incredible amount of health points-the last thing you'll need is getting swarmed by other monsters in the middle of fighting him. When you happen across Izual, trace your steps back a few so that the two of you can fight in relative peace. Try clearing all of the monsters you find from the stairs leading to the Outer Steppes as a safety measure. Since he's out in the middle of the level, instead of being in his enclosure like so many other challenging enemies, you can quickly begin to attract a horde of monsters that will make the fight that much more difficult. The main problem you'll encounter when tackling Izual will be the number of enemies around him. He also can send out a Frost Nova that will slow any players, summons, and hirelings within about a one-third screen distance.
